For those who have no gallbladder problems, you can do the scan any time.
- Others, such as a pelvic ultrasound, may require a full bladder. You may need to drink up to six glasses of water two hours before the exam and not urinate until the exam is completed. So may start accumulate water at home before you move out.
- Testicular, thyroid, breast and prostate scans do not require any special preparation.
